Agility and Plumbing Problems

This is Mollie's belated second birthday present. Agility classes start on Saturday week (the day after Himself's birthday, dear of him).

Being very anti-exercise, he was horrified that anyone, even a dog, would want to expend unnecessary energy in this fashion.

"All that running and jumping, Pop. You'll wear her out!"

I pointed out that with a hyperactive dog like her (to say nothing of a hyperactive Mum like me) this is highly desirable. But it took a long time before I could reassure him that I'm sure Moll will absolutely love it. He has yet to be convinced but is coming along as Official Photographer.

Now I must dash. I've been researching adenomyosis until my brain thinks it's going to crash prior to seeing Dr G to discuss my Plumbing Problems. My appointment is late morning so hope to have some good news. Dammit - I'll make sure I have good news!

That looks like a brilliant thing to do with Mollie. Do you have to do the jumps as well;-)

Hope you get good news this morning.

i love that picture!! pure concentration and energy.

i've thought of getting a rig like that for riley. i'm not sure he'd be any good at it--he's so easily distracted outdoors by any moving thing, like rabbits and squirrels. but he sure has the energy for it.

good luck with the dr.

there's not a thing wrong with you in MY book.

lane - well, I'm not sure that I have to jump OVER the fences, but I will have to run round them, so concentrating on getting v fit! Yes good session with docs - sounds hopeful.

It's a great picture isn't it? Sheer enjoyment! I think the idea is you train them with treats and Moll is so greedy she'll do anything for food! Anyway it'll be interesting to see..Had a good session with Dr G and many many thanks for your lovely comment! I shall hold it to me like a hot water bottle in times of grimness.

You must let us know how you get on - I was only saying last night that I must find an agility class for Tilly... Hope all goes well at the docs!

SNAP!! Mollie starts obedience/ possibly flyball or agility on the Sunday - the 4th. Will be interesting to see what they both think. And what we both think, in fact!

Hope the docs get you sorted out! Em x

Great training techniques! Hope things go well with the doctor - I can't even pronounce what you're researching, never mind research it!!

Best wishes, Crystal xx

Graham - I most certainly wll report back! I had great difficulty getting Moll onto a course as they're so popular, so start looking early!

Em - My Moll starts on Sat 3rd so we must compare notes! I suspect we'll both be shattered afterwards, with both Mollies completely hyper! Encouraging time at docs thanks.

Love the picture. She looks very focused.

Good luck with the doctor.

Tell 'em WE said they need to get their act together.

correspondent - this wasnt actually my dog in the picture - she hasn't tried it yet and she's much scruffier than that one! Don#t worry, I told 'em and all is well, I hope.

Sounds like a wonderful idea, and a lot of fun to be had by both of you. I'm sure it will be very rewarding.
