Many thanks to the rotten correspondent for her award of Blogging Star. How extremely kind and generous.

Now, of course, I have to pass it onto other people, who are:-

Crystal Jigsaw
Laurie (3 dog blog)
Lady Thinker
Miss Understood
Debio

It is a wonderful, if cold, day here in Cornwall with a Wedgewood blue sky, a brisk northerly wind and clear, bright sunshine. If only my head felt as clear as the sky. But I feel dizzy and befuddled. Words are down the other end of a long hazy tunnel this morning, and my legs are wobbly, unable to go and retrieve them.

However, a strange thing has happened. The post arrived and with it a note saying I had won a prize. I viewed this with a certain amount of cynicism but decided that as the phone number was a normal rate one, that I'd ring it. To my amazement, I have won a Gold Card membership for the health club in Falmouth. Not that I have any desire to go to a health club. I went once to aerobics and was bored rigid, and after all, Mollie does a very good job of keeping me fit. But they do yoga and pilates, which I am told I should do. So perhaps I should go and have a look. After all, it is worth £700 (gasp) and I am a firm believer in Never Look a Gift Horse in the Mouth. Shame this one didn't have cash in its mouth though.

By the way, my blog instructions have gone back to German. Anyone else got this? Or is this a sinister message? Big Brother is German?

How about Bussy short for Claude Debussy?

Flowerpot said...

Lesley - ah, Boossy rather than Bussie you mean?! I like it. Himself suggested Chai as in short for Tchaikovsky but I'm not entirely convinced.

Congrats on your win.
My blogger, too, keeps reverting to German and back - no idea why.

Blogger is killing me at the moment. I went almost 24 hours not consistently being able to get to my dashboard or comment on other people's blogs. Is this just me or are other people having this problem? I'm still in English, which I guess is a good thing.

You know...you could sell the health club membership.

Flowerpot said...

sorry you are havig such problems, correspondent, thogh at least htey are in English! yes, selling the membership was the first thing that occurred to me but I have to take along ID and this ticket thing wich rather blows that idea. Shame!

Thank you for the award - as I proudly carry it off back to my place.

Re the German - under your profile in dashboard if you change the Language from English -UK to English - English ; then you'll be rid of the german translation.

lady thinker - how wonderful it is to have someone with technical expertise. Many thanks indeed. I shall go off and do just that.

Achtung! My blog instructions are in Deutsche as well. Does the gym have other facilities such as a pool or sauna? Perhaps you could partake of them. Congratulations by the way.

My blog went German once. Via my site meter I saw that someone entered my blog via my very own dashboard and then it was German until I changes it back.

Blogger flaw or hacker deal? Curious, because until now, I thought it was a fluke.

Wow. Thanks so much for the award.

I just noticed the name of your new novel. I had a dog called Pepe!

Guten Tag!

Sorry I couldn't resist. No idea why you're getting everything in German. Congrats on your award and your prize. :)

Well done on your winnings! Isn't it great when something like that happens? Well, actually I wouldn't know!

Thank you for passing on the award. That is really kind of you. I guess I start thinking about passing some of my awards to some of my fellow bloggers. I'm terrible at doing that, I like to keep them all!!!!

Best wishes, Crystal xx

Congratulations on your award and sorry to hear of the German problems, mine is working fine so far. Knock on wood. The membership sounds like fun, maybe you will really enjoy it. Never know until you try! I've heard from my daughter that pilates is really good and she does a lot of yoga.

And congrats on your award :D

Did you see Falmouth on Great British Journeys last night? Thought of you. Lovely place.

wakeup - no, unfortunately it doesnt have a pool or I might go. Shame - perhaps I should have said I was in a wheelchair and could they offer me cash but I was still thinking I could flog it!

kim - good to meet you and please drop this way again. Courtesy of Lady thinker, I appear to have solved the German problem. Thanks, thinker!

MissU - I think Pepe is a lovely name for a dog but can't really have a Peppi and a Pepe!

Ak - thanks for that - hope th eGerman has gone now!

Crystal - yes I'm hopeless at passing things on but it's a good thing to do, I guess.

sweet irene - most people would enjoy a health club but the time I have for exercising I like to have with Mollie - she;s much more fun than a health club!

Dee - good to see you. I've tried lots of times to access your blog and can't and there's no otherway of contacting you. Good to see you!

Em - no I didnt see Falmouth last night. Damn. Greetings from a lovely sunny Falmouth at the moment!

Yes, yes! My Industry is currently reading as KUNST, which is worrying, as I have NO idea what that means and whether people come to my blog and think I'm a civil engineer or something...
But thanks to Lady Thinker - I'll try that.
How fab to win something, a real thing, no strings. Do yoga, it takes time but it's so worth it.
Good luck with your op.
