A Royal Award

Another award - from Akelamalu. Thank you so much, Ak. Very cheering, particularly as I have to go to the dentist in an hour or so for a splint to be put in. No, I've never had a splint before, either, but it's to save one of my teeth rather than having it hoiked out (had rather a lot of that recently). Still, at least my dentist is very good looking and has a sense of humour, so I shall try and concentrate on him rather than what he's doing to my mouth (if you get my drift).

Also, the other day I started getting pains up my arm and wrist which I think means RSI. Occupational hazard for a writer, but not pleasant, so I'm off to see the physio tomorrow who sounds very competent and knows all about RSI. Thank God for that - I can't afford to fall apart!

Congratulations on the award, good luck with the tooth and with the physio. Always best to attack something like that early.

Congratulations on the award FP.

Sorry to hear that you had to go to the dentists again, I hope that all went well.

RSI is an unfortunate hazard of writing. I hope that the physio goes well.

My dentist is an absolute dish - I'd rather go on a date with him than let him forage in my mouth!

Julia - thanks for that and yes, that's what I thought about the RSI.

RT - thanks for that. I've been looking up websites for RSI and terrified myself! But I've got some good exercises so hope I can stop it getting any worse. It's very sore!

Ak - I quite agree - I'd much rather date my dentist. In fact he didn't do anything today as I need a longer appointment so I'll have to go back - what a shame!!

What on earth is a tooth splint? I once had root canal treatment which wasn't fun, and the dentist wasn't even good looking.

Thanks for your comment on my bullying problem flowerpot. it's not wholly resolved of course, but things are a little better.

midlifer - they literally put a splint from one tooth to support another one - apparetnly - but I havent had it done yet!
Glad the bullying problem is a bit better - keep us posted.
