My mother showed me this note written by my nephew some years ago.
"I'll always keep it," she said - and you can see why.
Dear baggy,
Thank you for the fantastic watch it’s the business. I hope you are having a great time in Devon. I hope I can visit you some time.
Your sincerely,
Toby
P.S. Sorry I meant lots of love

Bless, they really do say the sweetest things.
ok, here's one you might love. a friend of mine entered her unpublished novel in amazon dot com's competition. readers can download the first few pages of each submission, and comment on them.
my friend got lots of great reviews, but also some negative ones. the negative ones really annoyed her 10-year-old son.
the other day he came into her office and said, "mom, i wrote my own review of your book."
she said, sweetie, you can't. you're my son! plus, you need an amazon account.
will said, no, it's ok, i posted it under your account.
so for several days (until my friend figured out how to remove it), this review sat on amazon's website, under her own name:
A very good book that has been written quite well. A reporter for something like writers weekly called it crap so nertz to that reporter.Right back at him/her.
philipa - aren't they great?
laurie - that is wonderful! Quite made my day...
Baggy?
Mopsa - Baggy came about because my niece couldn't pronounce granny. Sorry, should have explained that.

Priceless kids. I have kept so many notes that Amy has written to me.
Crystal xx
Lovely. I love 'Baggy':-)
Crystal - I'm glad you've kept them.
Lane - yes, I like Baggy too!
Kids are great, aren't they? I found some of Dan's letters the other day when I was having a clear out. I kept them, of course :)
That's wonderful! :)
At least it was repeatable. Some of the things that my youngest one comes up with aren't fit for proper company. Or improper, either.
I like the PS, I've kept some notes my sons have written too, I'm a real hoarder.
MissU - I'm so glad you kept them.
Ak - great, isn't it?
rc - that's true! I remember several that my brothers came up with that were neither..
ellee - yes, the PS made it I think.
I treasured one note my son left out one night - "Mum, please wake me up early". It was so amazing beacuse he was a typical teenager who always slept in. I framed it!
avi - now which son was that?! Thanks for commenting!
